Changing the Time and Date on Video

I have been asked 1000's of times, "how do i change the time date stamp on my video recording".

Here is a brief "how to guide".

Changing Time/Date Stamp and Video Resolution

To update a time/date stamp, create a .txt file named TIME, with information in the following format: YYYY.MM.DD HH:MM:SS Y(or N)R (year.month.day hour. minute.second Y=on N=off R=Resolution) - Y stands for yes, meaning the time stamp will be visible on recorded videos, N stands for no, meaning the time stamp will not be visible. 1, 2, or 3 should be entered directly after that to choose a resolution.

Examples: 2015.02.01 13:00:00 Y3 would be February 1st, 2015 at 1:00 pm 1280 x 720

Once you've created the file, connect the device to your computer via USB and save the .txt file to the device’s root directory. When you connect the device to your computer, it will be assigned a drive letter (ex. C:, D:, E:).

When you open that drive, you are in the root directory, or topmost level of the drive. After you have loaded the file, safely disconnect the device from your computer, turn the device on and off, and the time and date you loaded should now appear on any new videos and photos you record.

The .txt file must either be saved on the sd card or the memory provided by the gadget.
